Last day of the Season this Sunday - Minis end of season BBQ - Sussex Finals for U15s and U16s. EGM to be held 27 April.

Hello,
After a season of challenging weather, from rock solid pitches in September from the drought, to frozen pitches in December and waterlogged pitches in the new year we have made it through to the final weekend of the season. Thanks to all the volunteers who enable the club to run, also thanks to Neil, Rory and all the bar staff for their hard work throughout.

Sunday sees the season close with a bang as the club hosts 2 Sussex finals. At 11:00 Hove U15s take on Worthing and at 12:30 East Grinstead U16s play Heathfield and Waldron. Once again Dean and the gang have planned a great celebration with the minis end of season BBQ, with fun activities for the kids and a band in the clubhouse to keep us all entertained.

At the 2019 and 2020 AGM it was agreed to explore transfer Hove Rugby Club to a charity. Fiona, Jason Stott, Geoff Pollard and Robin Ward have been working hard over the past few months sorting out all the legal requirements for this change. There needs to be a vote by the membership to approve the final steps and thereby we are holding an Extraordinary General Meeting on Thursday 27 April at 7.30pm at the clubhouse.

All members of the club are invited to attend the meeting, and there will be a presentation on what this means for the club. However only fully paid up and/or honorary members of the club are entitled to vote.

It is also the time of year for nominations for club honours, if you know of someone in the club who you think should be rewarded with one of the club awards or being made a VP please contact Fiona Fiona.nehls@hoverugby.club on how to nominate.

Finally, we are still looking for volunteers for two key roles. Commercial Administration and Club Treasurer. Both these roles are mainly administrative with support from the wider committee on the day to day running of the club so can suit someone with 3 – 5 hours a month to spare to help the club.
