The U15s played their second cup game away at Worthing today. The teams are very evenly matched and it was always going to be a close game. Hove played strongly in attack and defence and finished the first half leading 12-17 thanks to tries from Anya (2) and Cluny (1) and a conversion from Lara.
Worthing came back stronger in the second half and despite some tenacious defensive and attacking play, Worthing scored 4 tries to our 2 (Anya and Saige) and managed to convert 3 of those. Sophie converted Saige’s try in the dying seconds of the game.
All the girls should be really proud of themselves. They are all developing as individual players but even more so as a team. Every game we see huge improvements and it is lovely to see how the girls support each other both on and off the pitch.
Very well done to a rapidly developing and strengthening team
