Touring is exhausting

Bath tour 2018
The story of Sunday was one of the exhaustion and injury, which comes from 2 games in 2 days and 2 nights in dormitories in a cramped youth hostel with 3 tier bunk beds. Everyone was knackered and to make matters worse 5 players were carrying injuries and either played just a few minutes or couldn't play at all.
Corsham, on the other hand, was up for a contest in the knowledge we had beaten their arch-rivals Keynsham the day before. They took a 22-0 lead in the first half before we had even taken off our pajamas. After some robust encouragement at half-time the boys put in a sterling effort and won the second half 15-7, but it was a bridge too far. With 5 minutes to go we had closed to just 7 points, but in our efforts to win we took more risks and gifted them a last-minute try – it was worth the risk. Nothing ventured nothing gained!
Thank you, Corsham for being such great hosts, for testing us in the match and welcoming us as friends afterward. If you fancy a tour to sunny Sussex by the sea you would be very welcome.
