Hove minimise changes as they look to go 4 in a row
After a good home win against high-flying Crowborough, Hove travel to Gravesend looking for their 5th win of the season and 4th win since that second day loss to Deal.
Hove have made 3 personnel changes within the squad. Adi Shergold and club captain Martin MacDonald return to first team action after strong performances in the second team, with Alex Maguire and George Brown dropping from the bench to start for the 2s. Guy Patton comes in for the injured Bryn Garrish who is undergoing return-to-play protocols after a head knock.
In the front row, The Cowboy Tyler-Ray Hooper continues at hooker after stepping in at short notice last weekend (#prayforchris), with regular props Declan Peake and Ryan Storer completing the front row, with Shergold as the front row replacement. MacDonald is straight back in the starting line-up, taking his usual position at 8, with a reshuffle moving Charlie Watts into the second row, Carl Buckland out to 6, Rob Ward to 7 and Toby Brown to the bench. The backs are unchanged from last week other than Patton in for Garrish (above), with Carles Casanova continuing on the bench.
Forwards coach Ryan Storer went on record of saying: "The boys did really well to Get It Together last week and after the game I was thinking Forever Came Today. Away from home we're going to have to go back to basics, a simple ABC performance and Maybe Tomorrow we can come back with the victory.
"It's good to have (club captain) Macca returning. I sat him down in the week and said 'I Want You Back in the team. All I Do Is Think Of You and Whatever You've Got, I Want.'"
When pressed about whether he would attend the Halloween Spooktacular later that evening, Storer said: "I'll Be There. Halloween is my favourite holiday. I haven't liked Christmas since I Saw Mummy Kissing Santa Claus. But get the tunes playing and I'll be The Boogie Man."
