First League Rugby Game at home this Saturday 18 September v Tottonians and return of the Club Lunch!

Senior rugby returned to the club on Saturday when the men took on Dartfordians and the spectators got to enjoy some excellent rugby in the sunshine with Hove winning the match 35 - 14.

This Saturday sees the return of league rugby with the first team playing Tottonians, and the return of the club lunch! Menu is Beef Bourguignon with mashed potatoes and Savoy Cabbage and Shallots, or a vegetarian option, followed by Chocolate and Raspberry Tart or Cheese plate. Cost is £12.50 please book with Neil on 07710444013 and be at the club for 13:00.

On the weekend of 25th September we will be saying thank you to you the members with some drinks promotions tied into the youth training and senior fixtures on Saturday and Sunday. It would be great to see many of you down and to have a drink together to celebrate the club making it through the past 18 months and to thank you all for sticking with us.

Sunday 19 September - Our new kit supplier, InterSport Lewes, will be coming to the club with playing shirts, shorts and socks. They will be available to purchase between approximately 10.00am and 3.00pm. After Sunday, they will be available online.
We are continuing to collect membership online, please see the Mini & Youth Information page on the Club Website and complete the Hove Rugby Family Membership Form which gives the Bank Details for online payment.

We will also be having the volunteers dinner on Friday 8th October, email me to let me know if you are attending, current a future volunteers welcome. There are always jobs that need doing and if you think there is something we could be doing better why not join in and show us how to do it.

There are some more volunteering opportunities in the wider game. For the youngsters (18 - 25 ) the National Youth Council is looking for new volunteers with a closing date 24th September https://www.englandrugby.com/news/article/rfus-national-youth-council-making-a-difference

And the RFU Council is seeking to recruit four new members from under-represented groups in order to better represent the game’s participants and to gain insight relating to those under-represented groups. Closing date 21st September.
